Back in 1999 Cannon Tomlinson Mansley Ltd was founded. And at the weekend the staff got together to celebrate our 25 and a birthday!
Ok, so we were actually 25 back in November 2024, but we've been a bit busy over the last few months.
Now known at ctm Information Technology, we've come on a long way and really solidified our position as Microsoft 365 solution and security experts.
When I joined ctm in 2003 in Technical Support, we were defragging Windows XP machines and taking backups using DAT72 tapes running on Windows 2000 Server. If your internet connection was a 2Mbps SDSL line you were doing very well indeed!
Fast forward a quarter century and ctm is deploying home-grown Artificial Intelligence to support triage, ticket analysis and reporting, we're securing and supporting cloud-native mobile-first Zero Trust ecosystems for thousands of users across the world.
But in some regard little has changes.
People still require technology to work; they require data access, communication systems and applications to process that data. Now, however, people need to work anywhere at anytime securely.
Work is no longer somewhere you go, it's something you do.
As technology has inevitably, relentlessly, advanced over the years, as working practices have advanced, as people have demanded more from their companies, so those companies demand more from us and we must, and have, advance too.
This is why I love working for ctm, with our team and with our customers.
What does the future look like?
Well, we're deploying AI systems. We're continuing to build our tier-1 status with Microsoft and now have two Solution Partner Designations under our belt. We're well on the way to our second ISO standard, Investors In People Gold is fully embedded in our ethos and we're making big advanced in our cybersecurity offerings with a soon-to-be-released Platinum level.
We continue to grow apace, with each month seeing more new customers coming on board. Another 6 members of the team will be starting in the coming months.
The past 25 years have been amazing, but our best days are still ahead of us.
