ctm Celebrates 10 Years in Business
ctm celebrates ten years of business with an afternoon BBQ.
ctm was established in 1999 by Cambridge University undergraduates Matt Cannon, Andrew Tomlinson and Kieran Mansley. Matt and Andrew quickly became passionate about the company and took the decision to end their university studies and concentrate on establishing the company.
Originally located in a small office along Newmarket Road, in 2000 the company won its first job for an Essex-based environmental recycling firm, a company who remains a client to this day. Word of mouth quickly spread and saw the company expand. By 2003 they had outgrown their office and needed to locate to a larger premise on Barnwell Road.
Whilst at Barnwell Road the company began to define their product range offering Technology Consultancy, Software Development, Web Design, Technical Support and IT Infrastructure. They also began to improve their in house project management and reporting systems, achieving the ISO: 9001 and Investors in People accreditations. Rupert Davey joined the team during this time and comments:
“Having been part of the ctm team since 2003, I’ve seen it grow and develop into something very special indeed. I’m really looking forward to seeing what’s next!”
Today the company is located in the tranquil village of Stow-cum-Quy, just outside the city, a location enjoyed by Debbie Tedstone:
“I have been working for ctm for over 5 years now and I have seen lots of changes in that time. We have moved to these lovely offices in sleepy Stow-cum-Quy with great views of the countryside where we now have room for growing the company.”
The current economic climate has proved a difficult time for many businesses but the commitment to quality and strong communication with clients has enabled them to go from strength to strength. The future looks bright for ctm, with many opportunities on the horizon to continue the growth of the company. Managing Director Matt Cannon reflects on the past and looks forward to the future:
“The company has come a long way since it was established. The last year has been one of the toughest for business but we have overcome its challenges and become stronger as a result. I am so proud of what we have all achieved and can’t wait to see what we can do over the next ten years!”
Current and past employees of ctm joined us in our BBQ celebration. Rupert Davey appointed himself as chef for the afternoon, making sure everyone was kept fully fed with burgers and sausages.
It was a great opportunity to catch up with past colleagues and take time away from the office. We all had a fantastic evening and look forward to seeing everyone at the next ctm celebration!
