Office Relocation

ctm will take on the burden of managing the IT office move. From taking computers off desks and packing them up, all the way to recommissioning them at the other end and testing them before the staff arrive, we'll take care of it.

Even before you the sign the new lease or exchange contracts, there are a myriad of considerations that need to be taken into account:

  • Where will you locate your server?
  • What Internet speed can be achieved in your new office and how?
  • What are the current contractual notice periods for cancellation of existing services?
  • What are the lead times for installation of new services?
  • Are there enough power points to accommodate not just the IT systems but other office equipment too?
  • Does your new office have enough structured CAT5 cabling? Does your new office even HAVE structured CAT5 cabling?

All of these questions and many more can be answered through an onsite audit, where we will look at your existing office setup and review the new office in line with your technical requirements.

Following such an audit, we can plan your relocation to include the following:

  • Relocation of physical equipment
  • Structured cabling where necessary
  • Reconfiguration of remote branch offices and home workers' PCs
  • Management of third party contractors such as Internet Service Providers and removal companies
  • IT-related procurement e.g. server racks, cables
  • Phased migration with two or more sites running in parallel
  • Downtime management and minimisation
